Wealthify - Get your slider on
Agency: Who Wot Why
Client: Wealthify
Roles: Motion Design, Animation, Compositing
In 2022, The agency Who Wot Why launch a campaign for the innovative investment brand Wealthify.
It introduces a new strapline: “Wealthify your savings”, and showcases the brand’s online slider tool.
The design created by Who Wot Why plays with the weight of each letter in the headline and the slider.
For the videos they wanted the weight of the headline and the speed of the people in the video to respond dynamically to the slider input.
As the slider moves, both the text and the video evolve, shifting between bolder and lighter weights, becoming softer or more stretched, while the motion accelerates or slows to match.
Brilliant results
Applications increased 50%.
Registrations increased 72%.
Brand searches and traffic at an all time high.
Brand awareness increased 2%.
They asked me to create a wide range of Digital Out-of-Home (DOOH) and social media animations — from short 6-second Instagram stings to large-format digital placements, including DEPs, escalator panels, and even an enormous screen comparable to the one at Waterloo Station, spanning the equivalent of 23 HD displays.

The process
Because of the short time to animate this big amount of video, I had to think of the best way to be efficient and needed a solution to automate few tasks and not to have to animate each headline manually.
I came up with a toolkit I created in After Effects, each letters were animated separately, then my system of expression will reposition each letter between each other depending of the boldness of them.
Each letter repositions themself automaticely
Once this was created, it was easy and fast to create all the headlines and replace a text by another one if the client wants, I could focus only on the timming and the deisgn of the videos
I rotoscoped the peoples in the videos to create this blending of the text within the video.
In the tube
The campaign plays also in the escalators’ tube in London through a series of loop dep (Digital Escalator Panels) and several impressive digital ribbons
I had to manage a composition containing up to 23 screens in After Effects and then export each screen separately.
A serie of Digital 6 was also done.
Other socials
A common practice is to deliver the videos in different formats for different platforms (Instagram, Facebook, TikTok). Usually, landscape, square, and portrait. Adjustments have to be done to keep a nice aesthetic between the different version.
New Versions
After a succesful campaign, Wealthify asked Who Wot Why to create new social videos. They renew their confiance in my work and I did them again. If you too need to deliver complex project in a short time, don’t hesitate to contact me.
